The Christchurch City Council is committed to achieving an enlivened and creative city in which the arts are widely recognised as being essential. It believes that the arts play a vital role in improving the lives of a city ’s citizens and should be encouraged for it’s social and cultural value as well as commercial potential.

Canterbury Community Trust

The Canterbury Community Trust was established in 1988 as a charitable trust, with the purpose of providing charitable, cultural, philanthropic and recreational benefits to the community. The Trust's priority is to channel its funds as effectively as it can for the greatest possible benefit of the community and its people.

The Eureka Trust

Eureka Trust is a charitable trust that operates gaming machines in hotels and taverns for the purpose of raising funds for the local community. Eureka Trust prides itself on its contribution to the community, as without the distribution of gaming machine funds many local organisations (sports clubs, charities, community groups etc) would struggle to exist.
