Developing New Plays and Playwrights

As a major contributor to the New Zealand theatre community, The Court Theatre supports and encourages the development of local writers and works.

Elizabeth O'Connor, our Literary Manager, works in conjunction with writers and is responsible for reading submissions and selecting pieces for consideration by the Artistic Director.

The Court Theatre receives a very high number of submissions. We try to respond to them all but this may take some time. It may help if you submit your script through a Literary Agent.
