Theatresports In Schools

Theatresports and improvisation are fantastic tools with which to explore acting techniques, boost self-confidence, unleash creativity and have a lot of fun.

The Court Jesters can take workshops at your school to teach a variety of skills (storytelling, listening, vocal technique or simply having fun) to students of all ages.

Workshop cost: $55+GST per tutor per hour (one tutor is recommended per 20 participants)

Theatresports in Schools Competition:

Senior Trophy (years 11-13) | Junior Shield (years 7-10)

Note to all school participants: Please visit The Court Jesters' site for further information about this year's competition.

Fast, frantic and furiously funny, Theatresports is improvised theatre with a competitive edge. Teams of four players create original scenes, songs and stories based on audience suggestions, competing for the Senior Trophy (years 11-13) or the Junior Shield (years 9-10). Registration packs are sent to all high schools at the beginning of the year.

Every school that registers receives a copy of the Theatresports Manual, eleven hours of professional tuition from The Court Jesters and participation in the Term 2 Theatresports Festival as well as the opportunity to compete in the Senior and Junior Competitions (in terms 3 and 4 respectively), the finals of which have become a sell-out event in The Court's calendar!

Registration fees: $350/$370 - Junior and $420 - Senior
