Primary School Touring Show

In Term 3 The Court takes theatre to local primary schools. These shows aim to cater for all primary school ages (5-12) and often contain fantastic performances, fun stories and good messages that can be discussed afterwards by classes of all ages.

Performances run for approximately 45 minutes with a minimum of 100 students required for each performance. Actors can offer a brief question and answer session for students afterwards by arrangement.

Previous school shows include Ella and the Kaitiaki, The Hare and The Tortoise, The Sheep Who Wouldn't Be Shorn, The Ugly Duckling and No Moa.

Touring show 2011: The Adventures of Captain Cook

Join Captain Cook, Banks the Botanist and one very cheeky seagull on a very funny nautical adventure!

This year, while we are constructing our new Addington base, we will be performing The Adventures of Captain Cook in local primary schools. Written by local playwright Brendon Bennetts, this fun play will be accessible to students from Year 1 to 8. 

The tour will run from August 15th- September 9^th, with performances scheduled at both 9:30am and 2pm.  The cost is $4.50 per child or $6.50 per family, and a minimum booking of 75 children per show is required to cover tour costs. If your school has a small roll, you may wish to contact another school and arrange to host a joint performance. 

We are also giving schools the option of booking our actors for drama workshops following the performance.  Tutoring will be available at the special tour rate of $90 inc. GST per tutor/hour (regular price $120).  Our tutors will accommodate any group size between five and sixty students, and will be able to work with entire syndicates or small extension groups.
