Acting Training

The Court Theatre offers high quality training to students aged 9 to 30. Our Drama Classes cater to students aged 9 to 17, providing a comprehensive training in the theatre skills we value most: from vocal delivery techniques to physical comedy. At the tertiary level, our part time, one year Theatreworks course provides 18 to 30 year olds with professional-level training and is the perfect preparation for those who intend to audition for a full-time drama institue.

Drama Classes 9 - 11 Year Olds (Junior Classes) 12 - 14 Year Olds (Intermediate) 15 - 17 Year Olds (Senior Classes) The Court Theatre currently offers three levels of youth drama classes, which run during the four school terms. By working individually, as well as in groups, drama classes provide students the opportunity to improve communication and presentation skills, with the goal of greater self-awareness and confidence. TheatreWorks Ages 18-30 (full year tertiary level course, entry by audition only) The Court TheatreWorks is an exciting new theatre-craft training programme that was launched in 2003. Improvisation Training

Whether you're an actor, comedian or just have problems learning lines, improvisation classes are immensely beneficial. Taught by The Court Jesters, The Court's resident entertainers and comedians, these classes give students the skills to construct stories and characters on the spot.

	Introduction to Improvisation 2009 Dates tba 2 hour workshops, run by The Court Jesters, covering all the basics. Ideal for all those keen to learn the core skills of improvisation.
	Community Improvisation Workshops All ages welcome, Wednesdays 5:30pm-7pm at The Court Theatre Unleash creativity, boost confidence, learn valuable acting skills and have fun! The Court Jesters (The Court Theatre's professional improvisation troupe) run weekly workshops on improvisation at The Court Theatre on Wednesdays from 5:30-7pm. Classes resume February 2009.
