Theatre and Actor Training

The Court Theatre offers high quality training to students aged 9 to 30. Our Drama Classes cater to students aged 9 to 17, providing a comprehensive training in the theatre skills we value most: from vocal delivery techniques to physical comedy. At the tertiary level, our part time, one year Theatreworks course provides 18 to 30 year olds with professional-level training and is the perfect preparation for those who intend to audition for a full-time drama institue.

	Drama Classes 7 - 9 Year Olds (Junior Classes) 10 - 12 Year Olds (Intermediate) 13 - 15 Year Olds (Senior Classes) 16 - 18 Year Olds (Advanced Senior Classes) The Court Theatre currently offers four levels of youth drama classes, which run during the four school terms. By working individually, as well as in groups, drama classes provide students the opportunity to improve communication and presentation skills, with the goal of greater self-awareness and confidence. 	TheatreWorks Ages 18-30 (full year tertiary level course, entry by audition only) The Court TheatreWorks is an exciting new theatre-craft training programme that was launched in 2003. 	Saturday Workshops at The Court Ages 18+ Everyone welcome. In 2010 The Court Theatre are proud to announce a programme of Saturday workshops to be held once-monthly between March and October.  Taught by The Court’s top professional actors and tutors, these will cover a wide range of theatre skills. Improvisation Training

Whether you're an actor, comedian or just have problems learning lines, improvisation classes are immensely beneficial. Taught by The Court Jesters, The Court's resident entertainers and comedians, these classes give students the skills to construct stories and characters on the spot.

We can also organise workshops for any and all skill levels (from Kindergarten to tertiary, as well as our business training workshops) using professional actors, technicians, designers and other creative staff.
