Adult Improvisation Classes

Wednesdays and Sundays | $140 per term

The Court Theatre runs three levels of Improv Classes for participants aged 18 years and older.

Level 1: Intro to Improv workshops introduce fundamental improvisation techniques in an environment in which all participants can discover the charismatic performers inside themselves. Intro to Improv courses run throughout the year and require no previous experience.

Level 2: Narrative, Character, Technique and Status workshops explore the skills of improv in greater depth, with each course focusing on a particular aspect of performance. Entry is open to anyone with basic improv experience, or who has completed Intro to Improv.

Level 3: Performance workshops develop a different performance style each term, exploring such formats as Theatresports, long-forms, directed works and musicals. Each Performance course culminates in its own public improvised show at The Court. Entry to Performance is at the discretion of Level 2 tutors.
