In a magical underwater kingdom, the young mermaid Ariel longs to leave behind her ocean home—and fins—to live in the world up above.
But first, Ariel will have to defy her father, King Triton, make a deal with Ursula (arguably the best Disney villain of all time), and convince Prince Eric that she’s the one whose enchanting voice they've been seeking. Featuring two alternate casts of talented young performers from Ōtautahi Christchurch, Disney's Little Mermaid Jr. brings this classic Disney “tail” (get it?!) to life for the school holidays.

Auditions
The hunt it on once again to create two incredible teams of young performers for our July production of Disney's The Little Mermaid Jr. please read all the information below. Any registrations that are incomplete or missing information will not be accepted.
Auditions for Disney's The Little Mermaid Jr will require the following:
- A completed registration form (bottom of this page)
- A 30 second self tape video of you singing any song of your choice and uploaded to a video streaming site (remember to make it private)
- An in person movement audition for those making it past self tapes
- An in person singing audition for those making it past self tapes
- Please note: due to the overwhelming number of applications received we won't be able to see ALL auditionees in person. Make that video shine and show us everything you've got.

Backstage Tour
Step behind the scenes at The Court Theatre to explore a world of theatrical magic!
Everything happens on site here at our Addington Shed, from the creation of grand sets out in our workshop, to the crafting of astounding costumes you've seen in productions like Something Rotten!.
A member of our Court Theatre team will host your tour, sharing stories of past productions and giving you a real taste of what goes on behind the scenes at the South Island's largest theatre company.
